We recently shipped household items from NZ to Brisbane, so we needed a reputable storage facility to safely, and securely store our important excess items. We phoned a number of storage companies around the Brisbane area. Many companies didn't return our calls, or they provided very little information, were far too expensive, too far away, lacked quality customer service, and many simply weren't professional enough. The company which stood out the most, was National Storage in Cannon Hill. Their friendly office lady contacted us immediately with pricing and information. Their prices were the most competitive, with the benefit of additional services and features. They were also the most convenient storage facility, closest to our home. This is a huge factor if you do require access on a fairly regular basis. Many companies offered slightly cheaper storage which is packed into moving boxes, then placed into elevated storage racks with other boxes - you need to book several days in advance to access your items. This is a real hassle if you need unrestricted access to your belongings. National Storage Cannon Hill are super friendly, their focus is geared towards providing a positive customer experience - we dealt with Ewan who did an outstanding job. Cannon Hill storage is a handy and accessible location for us, it's right next to Bunnings and Cannon Hill Plaza on Creek Road, so you can shop before or after your storage needs. National Storage do focus heavily on security with cameras monitored 24/7, keypad access in and out of the facility, it is also a managed centre, with the manager living on site. This was an important factor for us, they also offer insurance for your unit contents if required. We can access our unit any day from early morning to late evening - 7 days a week, we can also drive in and park right outside our unit door. National Storage do offer a number of add on services for their customers. They provided free truck hire on the day we moved our contents into storage (the truck is huge). They do have trailer, fork hoist, or truck hire available @ $50 day, which is cost effective, you may find some of your items don't fit in your car, as we discovered. Packing boxes, packing materials and moving supplies are available for purchase. If you need to remove any rubbish, they have bins onsite as well, for a small fee. We were able to top up their bins for free on rubbish day - that's the little extra special things they do. Staff members are highly visible at the centre, maintaining or cleaning the property & grounds, any questions or problems, are sorted immediately. After a few months, our original container was too big for our needs. National Storage offered us a smaller unit, just around the corner from our larger one, we were able to move that day. Free moving trollies are available in several sizes. There were no set restrictions on holding a unit for a set billing period, it simply changes on that day. We thought this was great service. National Storage offer a number of unit sizes, they will have storage to suit your needs. From small lockers for document storage to compact 1.5m x 1.5m units, or they have the larger 8m x 3m units for boats and vehicles. I have noticed a number of reputable companies using these facilities to store their business products. There are also cars, camper vans and boats stored in the secure carpark bay, so there are a number storage options available. The cleanliness of the facilities was one of the things I noticed immediately, the units and grounds are all very tidy, it does show they care. There are rodent baits in each of the units, so you have peace of mind in the pest department. The facility is non smoking too.
